during a 14hr flight, how can i change diapers of baby and where should i throw them.?
i dont remember that i have seen any basket nearby in aeroplanes.what if baby cries in plane.baby is about 7 months old.thanx.
two months ago, i flew to okinawa, japan with a 4month old baby. my hubby is in the military and we are stationed here. there is a changing table in one of the bathrooms, so you don't have to worry about the diaper part. if you take along dog poop bags, they sell them at any pet store, they are small bags that are perfect for smelly diapers since they block the smell, they are small and fit nicely in a diaper bag. you can throw the diapers in the recepticals in the bathrooms, or you can give it to a flight attendant...your choice.
if your baby cries on the flight....don't worry. do what you would normally do at home to clam him/her down. if she is hungry feed her a bottle or nurse, walk up and down the isles if the seat belt sign is not on, play with her on your lap, play peek-a-boo with the people behind you. make sure they have something to suck on durring take off and landings since the preasure will effect their ears and they can't "pop" them on their own like we can. this is where it is a good idea to nurse or give the baby a bottle, even a bink helps great at this time too.
another good idea is, if at all possible, to plan your flight around your child's normal eating and sleeping patterns this way you will know why your child is crying when/if she does. my daughter slept most of the 18hr flight and your child may do the same.
Good Luck and don't worry...it's not as bad as everyone makes it out to be.
