Alternatives to a Moses Basket?

I'm currently 26 weeks pg and I have been thinking about sleeping arrangements when the little one comes along. My first daughter co-shared with me until she was six months old and then went straight into her cot. She hated her Moses basket and absolutely refused to sleep in it. Worse than that, I couldn't believe how quickly she would have outgrown it if she had used it! I want to have this baby in my bedroom with me for at least 6 months but I would like to try and avoid bed-sharing if I can. What else could I get other than a Moses basket? I could just about fit a cot in my bedroom, although it would be a really tight squeeze and I'm worried a new born will just be completely lost in it. I saw an advert today for a baby hammock, suitable for up to 1 year old, which looked really comfy. Has anyone used one or has any other ideas?

I took the one side of my cot off, and placed it right against my bed. So it was like co sleeping but not in my bed
